Ships Blog 8/1/2014

Afternoon all and welcome to the Ships Blog. What a contrast to yesterday’s weather. A pleasant break from the constant howling wind that’s been blowing around the Control Tower! Guess what we have more strong winds on the way in the next twenty four hours. We actually had a resident berth holder lock out today for about the first time in two weeks. All the boats were again checked yesterday to make sure their lines were ok. In the north basin  we have begun pressure washing the pontoons to clean them up for the coming season. Over at Felixstowe docks on Trinity 6 a Maersk Container ship has been spotted with a shifted load of containers, no doubt a rough time at sea!
